Joe Wasilewski is a wildlife biologist that specializes in working on the natural history of apex predators (crocodilians) within wetlands of south Florida. In 1981, Joe graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He is a member of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature serving on both the Iguana Specialist Group as well as the Crocodile Specialist Group. He serves as the resident wildlife biologist for Florida Power & Light at their Turkey Point nuclear power plant. Recent projects include developing and constructing American crocodile nesting habitat, completing the project in December 2007 and observing the area produce a successful crocodile nest on June 24, 2008.

Joe works extensively through the Caribbean with Rock iguanas, Central America (Costa Rica) with American crocodiles and South America (Guyana) with Black caiman.

 
 
     
 
Joe consults and supplies animals for many television stations such as Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, Florida Public TV and the History Channel.
